Looking To Rent? Why You Need A REALTOR…

As one of the largest residential rental agents in the greater Springfield, MA area, I hear horror stories every day.  All too often a familiar scene plays out:

Some nice renters find a place, apply for it, get approved, pay the requisite move in costs, and upon moving in they run into problem after problem.  Some of those problems make the property uninhabitable.  Often times, they aren’t even able to move in on time.  Still other times, they never actually get to move after falling victim to an internet scam.

The economy is hurting lately and some owners/landlords don’t have the wherewithal to weather the storm.  Some scammers see nice folks and just try to make a quick buck.  And still other folks really mean well, but have trouble delivering.  When failure is not an option, and you need to get things done (like if you’re relocating), you hire a pro.  And, in this business, the pros are Realtors.

But, like most areas of real estate, you want a specialist.  If you’re selling new construction, you hire a Realtor who has experience with it.  Likewise, a short sale or REO should be handled by the respective expert.  And when you have a property that you need rented, or are looking to rent a new place… you hire somebody like me.

Because my team does more rental business in this area than most, we know what to do, how to get it done, and how to save you time (and money) in the process.  Applications, references, credit reports, verifications of income, lead paint compliance, screening, leasing, maintenance, management, building systems, liability mitigation, etc.  We’ve got the specific experience and expertise to make renting easier for everyone.

So if you are currently a renter or property owner, or you’re interested in investing in residential or multi-family real estate… hire a Realtor.  And if you’re looking for somebody that is a Realtor and is an expert in the rental and management business, you don’t need to look any further.
