Google, My “Go To”
Yesssss! I finally got my invite to Google+, and all I had to do was ask. And so after poking around a little bit, I had a moment of clairvoyance: I love Google. No really, it’s true.
You can call me a fanboi or whatever, but what’s not to like? I love Android, my gmail, Google search power (duh), Analytics, Finance, the Calendar, YouTube, Maps (and Navi), Docs, the whole sha-bang. Google is my one stop shop for everything I need once I fire up the computer, mobile, tablet, whatever technology I have in my hands. I know that if I have a question that needs an answer, Google will show me the way.
And so on reflection, I find that my tendency to trust and rely on a proven provider of a service is a part of who I am. Like most real estate pros, I have a “go to” guy or gal for just about every scenario or need that comes up. I know who to call, e-mail or poke to get the answers I need (and fast.) And, my familiarity and comfort level with relationships of that nature have helped mold me into that type of a connector for my clients.
It’s strange how the little things can mean so much. Frequently I find myself playing professional matchmaker. Old clients will call me just to say “Hey…” and then follow-up with “Who do I call for…” Sometimes they apologize for bothering me, to which I can honestly say “It’s no bother.” It is with great joy, satisfaction, and pride that I field those requests. I don’t think people understand what a compliment it is (for me) that they respect my opinion that much.
So I offer my thanks to Google, for being my techie “Go To”, and thanks to my clients, family and friends for making me your “Go To” guy.
